NORFOLK UNIVERSITY ACCESS SCHEME
Successful Interviews Day
Friday, November 7th 2008
10am-3pm, Norwich School, Norwich
After a very encouraging and successful summer school week, we are writing to you to let you know about the final part of students’ preparation within the Norfolk University Access scheme, a Sutton Trust funded programme.
We have put together an interview guidance day open to all those who participated in the summer and have been called for or will likely be called for university interview. It will be a really useful day to help students know how to do their best in what is the most crucial part of the application process.
The Successful Interviews Day will take place on Friday November 7th 2008, from 10am to 3pm at The Norwich School. The day will involve presentations and workshops from Future Foundations, around what to expect, how to answer questions and how to make the most of the last months of preparation, as well as at least one mock interview for each pupil.
Attendees should arrive at the Old Music Room, Palace Building, Norwich School (where main registration for summer programme was – please note this meeting point is subject to change – be sure to check for any latest information circulated) from 9.30am for 10am start. Please bring your personal statement.
There is no charge for the day; lunch will be available in the refectory at a cost of £2.50 (students are also welcome to bring their own, or go out into the city to get theirs)
Students should expect there to be times during the day when they are waiting for their interview. There are able to leave the school site during this time, but must sign out when doing so and ensure they are back at least 10 minutes before their interview time slot.
We very much hope your pupils will be able to join us for this day. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis with priority given to those who have already been called to upcoming interview.
